Abstract

Abstract Submission Guidelines

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Please follow
the guidelines below to ensure your abstract is eligible for review and selection.

General Requirements

  1. The presenting author must be registered for the conference.
  2. The abstract must be original and not previously published or presented at another
    national/international conference.
  3. All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  4. Abstracts must be submitted on or before 4.1.2026.
A. Original Articles / Research Work

Title (Max 25 words):
Concise and informative.
Avoid abbreviations or acronyms.
The title should be in sentence case (not all caps).

Authors and Affiliations:
List all authors with full names.
Indicate the presenting author with an asterisk (*).
Include institutional affiliations and the contact email of the presenting author.

Abstract Body (Max: 300 words, structured format)
Must be structured under the following headings:
Background: Brief context and objective.
Methods: Study design, participants, interventions/measures.
Results: Key findings (quantitative or qualitative).
Conclusion: Main takeaways and implications.

Keywords:
3โ€“5 relevant keywords.

B. Case Reports (Interesting/Rare Cases)

Title (Max 25 words):
Concise and informative.
Avoid abbreviations or acronyms.
The title should be in sentence case (not all caps).

Authors and Affiliations:
List all authors with full names.
Indicate the presenting author with an asterisk (*).
Include institutional affiliations and the contact email of the presenting author.

Abstract Body (Max: 300 words, structured format)
Background: Why the case is important/unique
Case Description: Clinical presentation, relevant investigations, management
Discussion: Diagnostic/therapeutic challenges, review of literature, uniqueness
Conclusion: Key learning points or clinical message

Keywords:
3โ€“5 relevant keywords.

Additional Requirements

  • Category Selection: Choose the appropriate topic/category from the provided list.
  1. Asthma
  2. Allergy
  3. Lung function testing
  4. COPD
  5. Bronchiectasis
  6. Others
  • Preferred mode of presentation: oral or poster.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts a delegate can submit.

Review Criteria

Abstracts will be reviewed based on:

  • Relevance to the conference theme
  • Scientific merit
  • Clarity of objectives and methods
  • Quality of results and conclusions

Submission Method

All abstracts must be uploaded to the respective sections on the Winter Symposium website.
The submitted abstracts will undergo anonymous review by the Winter Symposium 2026
Abstract Committee. Authors will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their abstracts
via email by December 31, 2025. The Scientific Committee reserves the final right to assign
abstracts as oral or poster presentations.
Details regarding the final presentation format will also be communicated by December 31,
2025.
